Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a church "board"?

Yes. We are required by the state to have a board. The board of Tukee Church is an "Advisory Board" made up of at least four people. The pastor (Allan) will always be a member of the Advisory Board. The other three members are Maggie Brown, Jim Stoleson, and Bryan Wilson.

Is Tukee Church connected to a denomination or "mother" organization?

No. Allan is an ordained pastor in the Church of God, Anderson movement, and our theology will essentially line up with that movement. Tukee Church is starting with no financial support from another organization, which means we are completely free to make decisions that are in the best interest of our community.

How are donations to Tukee Church handled?

Kelly Brown ([email protected]) is serving as our bookkeeper, and she is supported by a C.P.A. who is also part of our launch team. Click on "Give" in the main menu above to see giving options.

How will donations be utilized by Tukee Church?

The Advisory Board has approved a three-tier process for utilizing funds. Tier 1 is general expenses such as rent, insurance, and supplies. Each month, these expenses will be top priority. Tier 2 is the pastor's salary. If there are funds available at the end of the month, they will be used as salary UP TO one-twelfth of a $70k annual salary. Tier 3 only kicks in if there are funds beyond tier 2. These funds will be set aside and used for outreach, larger purchases, long-term saving, or whatever is deemed by the board.
